Today is a wonderful day for sneakerheads world wide! Well, that is…if they are able to cop a pair of the new Air Jordan XI Retro Low Concords! Every sneaker fan knows that Air Jordan XI is one of the most popular sneakers in the Jordan line so anything dealing with the number 11 is going to be a big deal! This week on #SKEELOCKER DJ SKEE brings to you an exclusive look at the new Air Jordan XI Retro Low “Concord” upon their release date Saturday May 3, 2014.The latest colorway of the Air Jordan Retro 1 ’86 — the hybrid model that fuses elements of the Air Jordan II with its iconic predecessor — features a black leather base accented with hits of Dark Concord. The purplish hue finishes the laces, Swoosh, heel counter and Wings logo hits, while a tonal reptilian texture on the eyestays and toe cap deliver a subtle finishing touch. Though not an OG colorway, the Black and Dark Concord hues make for a suitable complement to the hybrid retro silhouette. The kicks are set to launch May 10th through select Jordan Brand retailers, including Livestock. it’s f*cking sweet. The Air Jordan 2 Retro ‘Dark Concord’ is one such case. Off top, there are elements of the Jordan 3 and 11 done up in small amounts on the Jordan 2, and it all flows rather nicely. In days where Jordan Brand is slinging $40 elephant print tank tops, it’s easy to get turned off by the pattern. But when done in small doses the print definitely has an upside. Make the elephant panels a few shades lighter and sans the black coloring and it adds appeal to what could be considered a droll pair of kicks. And since Infrared has already been done, dark concord comes out as a winner for the accent color. Refreshing to see overlooked colors getting some run on different retros. I suppose MJ is holding off on the sport blue till August. The Air Jordan 2 Retro ‘Dark Concord’ releases May 10 for a retail ticket of $150.
